FAQ

Who can participate in United Crown of America?

UCA is open to individuals across the United States in the following divisions:​

  • Little Miss Division: Ages 4 –10

  • Preteen Division: Ages 11–13

  • Teen Division: Ages 14–18

  • Miss Division: Ages 18–28 (unmarried, no children)

  • Ms. Division: Ages 18+ (unmarried or divorced, with or without children)

  • Mrs. Division: Ages 18+ (married; with or without children)

Contestants must meet the age and marital status guidelines for their division at the time of registration.

How Much Does It Cost?

At United Crown of America, we believe in transparent, accessible pageantry that celebrates ambition, confidence, and individual growth. Delegate fees help support your full pageant experience—from media placement to official recognition and beyond. After Pay and other payment plan options are available.

  • Local Title – $175
    A strong and definitive starting point for first-time delegates. Visibility on a local platform.

  • Early Bird State Titleholder Fee (Until May 1st) - $350 

        For all delegates who have been appointed, ready to represent their full state, and are prepared to pay                        their fee before May 1st.

  • State Titleholder Fee – $500 
    For delegates who have been appointed, ready to represent their full state, and ready to gain broader visibility on the national platform. 

Where is this pageant located?

United Crown of America is an online national pageant platform. All entry materials are submitted digitally. Crowns, sashes, and certificates are mailed directly to confirmed titleholders. There are no travel or event requirements for participation.

Are there any in-person events?

While UCA is a digital-first competition, in-person appearances may occur on an individual or demand-based basis, depending on location, promotional opportunities, and availability.

These may include:

  • Community appearances

  • Sponsored promotional events

  • Media features or interviews

  • Charity or advocacy-based outreach

In-person participation is optional and not required for holding a title. All events must be approved and coordinated with the UCA National Office.

How are State titles awarded?

State titles at United Crown of America are awarded on a first come, first serve basis. The first qualified applicant to meet the following criteria and complete their delegate fee will be appointed as the official state titleholder.

Applicants are evaluated based on the following:

  • Personal Presentation: Confidence, poise, and appearance in submitted materials

  • Communication: Ability to express purpose, goals, and values clearly and authentically

  • Platform Potential: Alignment with UCA’s mission and readiness to represent their state

  • Overall Readiness: Professionalism, commitment, and suitability for national representation

Once an applicant successfully meets these standards and completes their fee, the title is formally awarded and secured.

What happens after I receive my state title?

You will receive your sash, crown, and certificate by mail. Once the order is processed by our sash sponsor, you will be sent your order number and tracking for your sash and crown. You’ll also receive digital assets, branding materials, opportunities to be featured through UCA's national platforms, and information about national competition and next steps.

What if my State is taken?

Delegates who's states are taken have the option of being appointed to another state if available.

 

Can more than one person hold the same title?

Yes but only LOCAL TITLES. Multiple qualified contestants can earn the same local title within the same year and division. All are considered official titleholders.

Do I have to compete to earn a Local title?

No, UCA locals are not a head-to-head competition. Local titles are awarded based on a first-come first serve basis.

 

What is Nationals and who qualifies?

Nationals is the highest level of competition within the United Crown of America system. It is open exclusively to state titleholders in each division. National titleholders are selected annually through a final evaluation process.

Winners of the national titles will receive:

  • The official United America National Title 

  • A national-level crown and sash

  • Priority features across UCA media platforms

  • Long-term recognition as part of the UCA legacy

  • Jewelry from our sponsor Viibee Co.

  • Custom United Crown of America Bag

Only one national titleholder per division will be selected per year.

What is the judging criteria for Nationals?

Each contestant is scored in the following categories, for a total possible score of 30 points. 

  • Headshots: Quality, professionalism, and presentation (5 points)

  • Accomplishments: Academic, personal, or professional achievements (10 points)

  • 2 Minute Video Introduction (5 points)

  • Volunteer Work: Community service, leadership, and impact (10 points)

The Top 5 in each division will be selected and evaluated further with a final interview. All judging is final. Scores are confidential and will not be released.

How Does The Top 5 Work?

Top 5 of each division will be announced on September 21st through the website, social media pages, and each delegate will be emailed individually announcing the Top 5. The Top 5 of each division will complete a final Zoom interview. They will have until September 23rd to complete this interview. This interview is worth 5 points. If for any reason there is a tie in score, delegates will answer a final question on Zoom to break the tie. The People's Choice winner will secure placement in the Top 5.

When Will National Titleholders Be Announced?

National titleholders will be announced on September 24th , 2025 10am. PST. Make sure to check the website, social media accounts, and check your email inbox for the announcement!

National Competition Special Awards Categories 

Not every crown is worn on the head—some are earned through heart, hard work, and unforgettable impact. Our Special Awards honor delegates who embody excellence beyond competition.

  • People's Choice

Awarded to one delegate who raises the most funds. People's Choice automatically advances to the Top 5 in the National competition.

  • Miss Photogenic

For the delegate whose photos radiate confidence and personality.

  • Heart of Service

 Recognizes community involvement and volunteerism.

  • Spirit of the Crown

Embodies the mission, values, and heart of UCA.

  • Social Media Star

​Consistent, polished, and on-brand online presence.

How Does People's Choice Work?

The People’s Choice Award recognizes one delegate who demonstrates outstanding public support, presence, and connection. This honor is awarded to the contestant who receives the most verified votes during the public voting period, as hosted through the UCA website. This award highlights a delegate’s ability to engage with her community, represent her title with confidence, and build an impactful presence beyond the judging panel. Each vote will be $5 and individuals can vote as many times as they'd like. This award includes:

  • Automatic advancement into the Top 5

  • Inclusion in the 2026 UCA national program

  • Featured placement on the United Crown of America website and social media

 

Can I use my title for branding or appearances?

Yes. All confirmed titleholders are encouraged to use their titles in professional bios, public appearances, media, resumes, and social media platforms. However, titles may not be modified, altered, or misrepresented in any way. Title usage must remain consistent with the UCA brand and guidelines.

How Can I Become a Sponsor?

You can sponsor the pageant in two ways: by contributing a monetary donation or by providing in-kind support such as products, services, or experiences. To get started, fill out the sponsor submission form on our website.

 

Is there a refund policy?

All fees—including application, confirmation, and processing—are non-refundable. No exceptions will be made in the case of disqualification, withdrawal, or dissatisfaction.
